GRANT OPPORTUNITIES

INHP is trusted to strategically deploy designated grant funds into our community because of our partnership culture. We have several grant opportunities that your nonprofit organization may be able to take advantage of. See below for an overview of each with links to apply.

INDI GRANTS

Provides core operating support to nonprofit developers of affordable housing.

The Indianapolis Neighborhood Development Initiative (INDI) grant program provides core operating support for organizations in the affordable housing system in Indianapolis so they can continue to increase the supply of affordable housing units.

INDI grants are awarded through a competitive grant process each year. Applications generally open in the summer.

SUPPORT GRANTS

Funds small investments into established and emerging affordable housing initiatives.

INHP offers invitation-only technical assistance funding and capacity-building grants to nonprofit organizations working to impact the supply of affordable housing options in Marion County.

COMMUNITY SPONSORSHIPS

Supports events and partnerships meant to improve quality of life for residents and neighborhoods.

INHP’s Sponsorship Program funds the following:

  • Events and organizations which support the housing continuum (homelessness, supportive housing and affordable housing);
  • Legislative events that support the affordable housing policy agenda; and
  • Partner organizations supporting families with low and moderate incomes or other underserved populations.

Grant award amounts are considered on a case-by-case basis.

THE PASSAGE

FHLBI MEMBERSHIP

As a member of Federal Home Loan Bank of Indianapolis (FHLBI), INHP can apply for a competitive grant, alongside a sponsor developer, to support affordable housing projects. We leveraged this strategy for The Passage apartments developed by Englewood Community Development Corporation.
